Low and open to its land, the house frames the pool and lawns through tall arched glass. Indoors the language shifts carved cabinets, brass, a four-poster bed and hand-painted peacock murals bring warmth and story to the clean shell.

After dark the pool and colonnade light up, and the whole place becomes somewhere to gather.
